PTA Christmas Fayre – Friday 2nd December

We are looking forward to our first Christmas Fayre since 2019! It will take place on Friday 2nd December between 5pm and 7pm.

We will be asking for some donations in the week leading up to the fayre – please don’t send in any donations before 28th November as we don’t have room to store them.

W/c Mon 28th November

During the week leading up to the fayre we will be asking for donations of the following items. If you are having a clear-out over half term, please hang on to any good-quality donations for the fayre.

    • Children’s books for the book stall
    • Soft toys for the Adopt-a-toy stall
    • Fancy dress costumes
    • Filled jars for the Jarbola stall – jars could contain sweets, little toys, stationery, hair bands, craft materials. Please be creative!

Please ensure all donations are clean and in good condition. 

Thursday 1st December – Non-uniform day in exchange for red, green and gold prizes for the tombola

Our Christmas tombola is for red, green and gold items. For example, this could be a red bottle of ketchup or wine, a green box of After-Eight chocolates, or a gold-wrapped Christmas pudding. Please be as creative as you like and don’t forget that the children don’t need to wear uniform on that day.

Friday 2nd December – Cake donations

Please bring donations of cakes and biscuits (home-made or shop-bought) into the link at school drop-off on the morning of the fayre.

Raffle

Raffle tickets will be coming home after half term so please look out for them.

External stalls

In the past we have had external stalls at the Christmas Fayre. Unfortunately, we don’t have loads of room to showcase lots of stalls but we would like to offer the opportunity to parents to have a stall if wished.

If you are a parent at the school and would like to have a stall at the Fayre, please complete this form by Sunday 2oth November 2022. We are not able to guarantee a space – it will depend on how many expressions of interest we receive. We will notify you as soon as possible after this date to confirm arrangements.

Please note that our charge is £10 per stall to be paid on or before the date of the Fayre.

We would welcome a volunteer to manage the external stalls – it’s a great little job to do that you can mainly do from the comfort of your own home in your own time. If you would like to get involved with the fayre, are organised and like dealing with people, this might be perfect for you!

Helpers needed!

As always, we will need lots of helpers to set up, run and, most importantly, pack up the fayre on Friday 2nd December.

We also need a few people to help collect and price up cakes on the morning of Friday 2nd December. And we need people to help collect the tombola prizes on Thursday 1st December between 8.30am and about 9.15am.

Please, please, please do think about giving up some of your time to help us – if all parents gave just half an hour, it would make such a difference. Of course, if you can give more time, even better.
